BaxterStorey hires new Finance Director
BaxterStorey, the UK’s largest independent contract catering company, has appointed Simon Fennell as Finance Director. Simon will be responsible for supporting the continued growth of the business and for ensuring its clients receive optimum return on investment.
Simon brings more than ten years’ financial experience to the role and will work with Chief Executive, Noel Mahony, to deliver efficient, value-led solutions for clients across the UK and Ireland.
Commenting on his role, Simon said: “BaxterStorey is experiencing rapid growth in a competitive market so it’s an exciting time for me to join and take on the challenge of this new role. I’m really looking forward to leading the team in driving value for each of our clients by maximising the effectiveness of our bespoke catering services.”
Simon boasts a proven track record of managing and transforming the financial development of UK and global companies. He joins BaxterStorey from Williams Lea, where he fulfilled the role of Commercial Services Manager, providing commercial support in the delivery of outsourcing solutions to a variety of global clients. Subsequently, as Group Investment Controller, Simon shared the responsibility for development and implementation of a range of financial strategies across the European business.
Simon also brings relevant hospitality experience having previously supported a UK and Europe-wide growth strategy that doubled the size of Travelodge Hotels Limited over a six year period.
